Darin A. Leviloff

Principal Attorney

Originally from North Hollywood, Darin Leviloff graduated with honors from UC Santa Barbara, majoring in history. Darin then received his J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1994. Darin practiced in the Bay Area in diverse focus areas such as general insurance defense, personal injury defense, construction defect law, professional liability and product liability. Darin has tried numerous cases to conclusion, participated in successful appeals, and has successfully settled a large number of cases. Darin joined the predecessor firm of Burroughs and Froneberger in 2014.

Darin Leviloff became a partner of the renamed firm in 2016. In 2018, Darin took over the practice upon the passing of Henry Froneberger. Beyond the practice of law, Darin is an accomplished writer, historical game designer, and world traveler. He has been active in the Jewish community, the game industry, and is a master of historical trivia. Darin resides with his wife in Petaluma, having raised three adult boys.

Jasmine Gonzalez

Office Assistant

Jasmine is originally from the DC area, but has spent considerable time in New York and Texas. She attended Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Jasmine was a staff writer for the PEN Project, working with incarcerated individuals to develop comprehensive reading and writing skills. She has a background in journalism, publishing, proofreading, and marketing.

Jasmine joined the firm as a full-time assistant on September 3, 2024 as the successor to Kristi Edwards who has since retired. In her spare time, Jasmine likes to go to the beach, write poetry, and spend time with her cat. She hopes to become a published author someday.

Alexa Pagonas

Associate

A native San Franciscan, Alexa graduated from School of the Arts (now Ruth Asawa) High School. At Mills College (BA) she majored in an interdisciplinary social sciences major emphasizing government economics while continuing to study music (classical piano) and drama. A graduate of UC Law San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of the Law) (JD), she was admitted to the California Bar in 1995. She has over two decades of experience in negotiations and securing fair deals for her clients. Alexa enjoys helping families resolve issues and problem-solve unique situations. Alexa has had a successful career in entertainment and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and charities.

Kristi Edwards

Office Manager/Paralegal

Kristi L. Edwards, CCLS has worked for the firm since 1992, in the roles of legal secretary, paralegal, bookkeeper, and general office manager. She completed certification as a California Certified Legal Secretary through Legal Secretaries, Inc. (now Legal Professionals, Inc. – LPI) in October 1998, and studied in the paralegal program at Sonoma State University. Her certification is kept current by frequent attendance at CLE events.

A member of the Marin County Legal Professionals Association since 1994, Kristi has held several positions on their board of directors. She has also served LSI-LPI as the Legal Specialization Section Probate/Estate Planning Section Leader (3 years) and as Parliamentarian (4 years). She has been a non-attorney member of the Marin County Bar Association since 2015 and a notary public since 2018. Kristi likes the teamwork aspect of working in a law office and providing quality, compassionate service to clients who need assistance during difficult times. Kristi is a classically-trained flutist who enjoys playing music in her community.

Henry Froneberger

Founder

Henry Froneberger passed away on January 5, 2018 after diagnosis with a rare and aggressive prostate cancer caused by Agent Orange. His legacy will continue to inspire. Henry was well-respected in the Marin County legal community, where he practiced for many years. Henry received his J.D. degree from Wake Forest University in 1972 and an L.L.M. from George Washington University in 1973. He joined John D. Burroughs in Point Reyes Station in 1990 after practicing in
San Francisco for seventeen years.

Henry was very active in the community and devoted many hours over the years to volunteer work for various non-profit groups, provided pro-bono legal assistance through Legal Aid, was a youth soccer coach, a baseball coach and commissioner of Little League Baseball in Fairfax, and served as a mentor for “at risk” youth. Henry also served with distinction in the armed forces and was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. Henry was born and raised in Gastonia, North Carolina, and was a true southern gentleman in the finest sense of the phrase. Henry was devoted to giving respect to all people, giving back to the community, and creating opportunities for the less fortunate.
